The G.O.A.T.Robot - Mainly constructed from GoBilda and REV Robotics components, along with many custom 3D printed components.
Drivebase - Belt-driven using 3” REV mecanum wheels with 19:1 planetary gear motors. Intake - Rotating arms with 4 compliant wheels, allowing for the intaking of stones from any position including up against the wall. Arm & Lift - Can stack up to 10 stones high, with the capstone being able to be placed up to 13 stones high Measuring Tape Extender - Extends 3 feet in 1.5 seconds over the foundation in order to park during end-game. Hitch - Can move foundation that is loaded with stones into and out of the build site. |
For our rookie year, our robot was simple yet effective:
Our robot had a unique flip-out intake that could reach about 20 inches into the crater and grab up to 2 minerals at a time. In autonomous, our robot could land from the lander and either claim the depot or drive into the crater. In end game, our robot could latch back onto the lander and climb 4 inches off the ground or drive fully into the crater. |
